Add 10/7/09 starting October 1, ProQuest has added to its databases, including and Boulder Labs workers AGRICOLA, Aquatic Sciences & Fisheries Abstracts, GeoRef and Meteorological & Geoastrophysical Abstracts databases, deep indexing feature. This means can be found on the supplemental deep indexing databases to search, as well as traditional in the abstract and indexing file so that the entered search terms to retrieve information about embedded images, charts, maps, images, etc., thus improving the search for resources by clicking the GeoRef. where, for example, we may search interfaces "CSA Illumina" logo in the upper-left corner of the logo is a link below. If the most recent increase of Boulder Labs Library staff, Joan Segal buddies, not because he has been part of the Boulder Labs community a long time.Joan was the library Reference & Electronic resources librarian from 1996-2006.He left her husband to help the Chief Financial Officer of his joining the expanding business Berry Best Smoothie company in Boulder, Boulder Labs.

Joan worked in Boulder Labs library, late ' 80 's-early ' 90 's. [1] [2] it was during this time he developed his love, scientific libraries and "detective work", and who is unclear citations, which led to his professional career as a librarian to carry on. Joan his MLS from Arizona University in 1995 and has a B.A. in English minor Appalachian Studies in computer science from Virginia Tech and sign language interpretation area community college, 24-hour front.

Last year, Joan has worked in the collection development department online end user license agreement (EULA) data collection and dissemination, a collection of assessment and evaluation as well as studies of women and men and women bibliographer at the University of Colorado Boulder libraries. White House Science and Technology pages



EBSCO Academic Search Premier, contains more than 8,450 peer review, abstracted and indexed journals and more than 4,650, which are peer reviews, and text. In addition, more than 100 journals back to 1975, and more than 1,000 titles feature searcheable references.

We've made the Library Web site so that more subtle changes to facilitate navigation. Chief among these is that all sources, including databases and E-alerts ohjetyypin open a new tab. However, by default, Internet Explorer, as a general rule, open links in a new window. If so, and you want to use tabs instead, then the IE menu bar, select "Tools" and then scroll down to "Internet Options.""General tab find tab" section, select the "Options" button and select "when a pop-up is encountered" menu "always Open pop-ups in a new tab.To exit, click "OK" and "OK" back on Internet Options. all sources should then open in new tabs, without you need to move back and forth from the window, and when you are finished, close the tab. You Know Your H-index?


April 12-16 is National Library week! Festival of Boulder Labs library is released every Friday, 16 April, Thomson Reuters Kristin Culp will present a report on the h-index, as well as other citation tools seminars on us Web of Science database. Web of Science offers many advanced features, using can be daunting. H-index, how it works and what does it mean to understand, is no exception. In short, the h-index measures the impact of the individual scientific researchers; the higher the h-index, the greater the effect.  To display the questions you may have with respect to the h-index and other Science Web features one of the following locations:

Boulder Labs Library would like to thank everyone who participated in our survey web part-session in February and March. we have a total of 126 replies: 59 Respondents were members of the NATIONAL OCEANIC AND ATMOSPHERIC ADMINISTRATION, 59-NIST-7, NTIA, and one was a government employee is not tied to the above, the conclusions of the three organisations. other are:

Professional 100 respondents or 79.4% are scientific researchers, 4 (3,2%) are the administrative assistants5 (4%) IT experts 1 (0.8%) is a scientific technician 2 (1,6%) are in the student assistants1 (0.8%) is the parent administrationBrowsers (some managers access to more than one) 82 respondents or 65,1% use Firefox (30,2%) 38 off Internet Explorer 23 (18.3%) using Safari, the Apple Forum browser 30 (23.8%) Use Chrome, Opera, and the use of 43 othersWebsite respondents (34.1%) by using our site 1-3 times a week 21 (16.7%) use it daily42 (33,3%) three times monthFinding information us respondents (41%) 48 indicates that the data discovery is "somewhat" 38 (32.5%) to "very easy" 28 (23.9%) of the "Average" 3 (2.6%), "some difficult" is not found it "difficult."

IEEE Xplore new, streamlined interface is designed to optimize your searches.The following features:

Institute of Physics (IOP) launched a new site, IOP science in which all of the journals is centrally. it contains a wealth of features that make it easier for you fast access to content during the search., you can filter by date, author, subject, and the journal of the Association, the name of the user name and password to create your own IOP Science is free, you can: Login.
